Table Time: Keep a Smile On Your Faith™
Table Time is an intentional opportunity of about 30 minutes after each of the five teaching sessions for women to engage with each other and apply what they are learning in a creative, fun and thought-provoking experience. Besides small group discussion, women receive prompts from their Table Leader for freestyle personalization in their journals.
Table assignments are made in advance for the duration of the event. You will receive your table assignment when you arrive at the event. Tables usually seat 6-8 women and have a trained volunteer Table Leader.
When you register, you can list friends that you want to be seated with from your book club, Bible study, mom's group, etc. Usually about half of event attendees do this. The other half are assigned to tables at random. We (Debi and Fawn) do not make table assignments; that is done by the host of each event.
Bring a pen and a Bible if you have one. When you arrive at the event, you'll receive a goodie bag with a free journal inside. Take notes in your journal during each of the five teaching sessions, and then do creative activities in it during each Table Time. Your table will have everything else you might need for the journaling activities.
Listening — by itself — does not lead to a transformed life. Because women tend to be verbal processors, it is important for us to have time after each teaching session to ponder and respond to what we just heard. Only as we engage and apply the content of the event will we initiate lasting transformation in our lives.
To provide time for this pivotal distinctive of the Keep a Smile On Your Faith™ event, our teaching sessions are intentionally shorter than traditional presentations (25-40 minutes instead of a full hour).

• Attends Table Leader training prior to the event • Prays in advance for every woman at her table • Goes through the Training Guide prior to the event • Knows the schedule, facility, traffic flow and other details so she can provide helpful answers about the event • Welcomes every woman at her table during Table Time • Guides discussion and journaling activities during Table Time • Follows-up at least once with every woman from her table in the first week after the retreat
